We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when third ranked Hungarian UNI Gyor (1-3) defeated at home second-ranked Spanish Gernika (2-2) 79-61 on Wednesday. The game without a history. UNI Gyor led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. UNI Gyor outrebounded Gernika 40-28 including 29 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American forward Reshanda Gray (190-93, college: California) stepped up and scored 21 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and Greek forward Artemis Spanou (188-93, college: Robert Morris) chipped in 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Blake Dietrick (178-93, college: Princeton, agency: LBM Management) responded with 22 points and Canadian-British guard Rachael Vanderwal (175-83, college: Boston U.) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. UNI Gyor maintains third place in Group F with 1-3 record having just five point less than leader Arka Gdynia, which they share with Uniao Sportiva. Gernika at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. UNI Gyor will face league's leader Argon Uni Girona at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Gernika will play against Uniao Sportiva and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
