Very significant was Spanish Valencia Basket's (#1, 7-2) victory against 3rd placed Russian Zenit (4-5) 97-89. Zenit trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 27-23 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 89-97 at the end of the game. Valencia Basket made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game.
