Regular Season Round 6: Nymburk - Atomeromu 49-72

Not a big story in a game when one of their biggest challengers Czech Basketball Nymburk (3-3) was outplayed at home by first ranked Hungarian Atomeromu (5-1) 72-49 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Atomeromu. Basketball Nymburk was better in third quarter 11-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Basketball Nymburk 38-25 including a 31-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Atomeromu looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Basketball Nymburk's players. The best player for the winners was Australian center Abby Bishop (189-88) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Swedish guard Frida Eldebrink (174-88, agency: ProDep Management) chipped in 22 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Chloe Wells (173-92, college: Duke) who recorded 17 points and guard Kamila Hoskova (175-95, college: Rider) added 10 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Atomeromu maintains first position in Group H with 5-1 record. Loser Basketball Nymburk dropped to the second place with three games lost.
