But EWE Baskets were not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Gdynia 78-74 on Tuesday night. The guests trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 4 points. Asseco Arka made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. Quite impressive performance for American swingman Josh Bostic (196-87, college: Findlay, OH) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists (made all of his seven free throws). His fellow American import guard Ben Emelogu (196-94, college: SMU) contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Asseco Arka players scored in double figures. Austrian-Slovenian center Rasid Mahalbasic (210-90, agency: BeoBasket) answered with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists and American swingman Rickey Paulding (196-82, college: Missouri) added 21 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for EWE Baskets. EWE Baskets' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Asseco Arka will face Unicaja Malaga at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. EWE Baskets will play against Galatasaray in Istanbul and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
