Turkish Darussafaka defeated French JSF Nanterre in Istanbul 72-65. The hosts were already 12 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 18-13 JSF Nanterre's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 72-65 at the end of the game. Darussafaka dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to JSF Nanterre's 20. Hungarian-American power forward Jarrod Jones (207-90, college: Ball St.) notched 16 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and Trinidad and Tobago center Johnny Hamilton (213-94, college: UT Arlington) supported him with 15 points and 7 rebounds. Darussafaka's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 21 points by American-Albanian guard Dallas Moore (185-94, college: N.Florida) did not help to save the game for JSF Nanterre. Canadian point guard Kenny Chery (180-92, college: Baylor) added 14 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. JSF Nanterre will play next round against Unics Kazan trying to get back on the winning streak. Darussafaka will try to continue on its current victory against Joventut at Badalona.
