Regular Season Round 2: Limoges - Rytas 82-61

There was a small surprise when French Limoges CSP Elite (1-1) outscored at home Lithuanian Rytas (1-1) 82-61 on Wednesday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Limoges CSP Elite's pressure prevailed and they won that period 24-7 extending their advantage to 21 points. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Rytas to just 7 points in fourth quarter. Limoges CSP Elite dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Rytas' 18. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American guard Semaj Christon (190-92, college: Xavier) scored 19 points and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Vincent Sanford (193-90, college: Dayton, agency: Inception Sports) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Limoges CSP Elite players scored in double figures. American guard Tu Holloway (183-89, college: Xavier) responded with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Mexican guard Francisco Cruz (190-89, college: Wyoming) scored 13 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Limoges CSP Elite will face Lokomotiv (#4) in Krasnodar in the next round. Rytas will play at home against Partizan NIS and hope to win that game.
