Regular Season Round 3: Unicaja - Galatasaray 88-83

Unicaja Malaga used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Istanbul 88-83 on Tuesday night. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 88-83. Unicaja Malaga made 26-of-32 free shots (81.3 percent) during the game. Galatasaray was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was French swingman Axel Toupane (197-92) who scored 22 points. American guard Josh Adams (188-93, college: Wyoming) chipped in 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Unicaja Malaga players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American Aaron Harrison (198-94, college: Kentucky) who recorded 20 points and 6 assists and New Zealand guard Tai Webster (193-95, college: Nebraska) added 14 points and 4 assists respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Unicaja Malaga will face EWE Baskets (#6) in Oldenburg in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Galatasaray will play at home against Buducnost (#5) and hope to win that game.
