Regular Season Round 3: Venezia - Tofas 76-65

There was a minor upset when Turkish Tofas (1-2) were defeated on the road by Italian Umana Venezia (1-2) 76-65 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Umana Venezia. Tofas was better in third quarter 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American forward Austin Daye (211-88, college: Gonzaga, agency: Alti Sport) who scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Greek-American swingman Michael Bramos (196-87, college: Miami, OH) chipped in 14 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Devin Williams (206-94, college: WVU) who recorded a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import power forward DJ White (206-86, college: Indiana, agency: Network Sports International) added 8 points respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Umana Venezia will face Limoges CSP Elite (#4) at home in the next round. Tofas will play against Rytas and hope to win that game.
