Regular Season Round 4: Unics - Joventut 86-74

Leading Spanish Joventut (2-2) recorded its second loss on the court of fourth ranked Russian Unics Kazan. Visitors were defeated by Unics Kazan 86-74. It was a key game for the second position in Group C. The game was mostly controlled by Unics Kazan. Joventut was better in fourth quarter 21-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Errick McCollum (188-88, college: Goshen) who helped to win the game recording 32 points and 4 assists and American-Israeli center Alex Tyus (203-88, college: Florida) who added 12 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Slovenian center Alen Omic (216-92, agency: BeoBasket) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and Slovenian guard Klemen Prepelic (191-92) scored 22 points and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Unics Kazan (3-1) moved-up to second place in Group C. Joventut at the other side dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. Unics Kazan will play against league's leader Darussafaka in Istanbul in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Joventut will play at home against Cedevita Olimpija and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
