The game between closely ranked teams ended with Russian Spartak Vidnoye's (2-0) road victory over Kosovan Prishtina (0-2) 126-63 on Thursday. The game without a history. Spartak Vidnoye led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Prishtina's 34. Spartak Vidnoye forced 22 Prishtina turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 37 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Prishtina's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Spartak Vidnoye made 7 blocks. Daria Repnikova (180-0) scored 24 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Morgan Bertsch (193, college: UC Davis, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Five Spartak Vidnoye players scored in double figures. Spartak Vidnoye's coach felt very confident using 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Nyilah Jamison-Myers (193, college: Charlotte) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and her fellow American import guard Danisha Shaw (170-92, college: Wiley) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Spartak Vidnoye will face MBA in Moscow in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Prishtina will play at home against Besiktas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
