Quite upsetting was Russian Lokomotiv's (#3) home defeat in a game versus fourth ranked Turkish Tofas who edged hosts 72-69. It was a key game for the second position in Group B. The guests trailed by 11 points after three quarters before their 26-12 charge, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was Belgian-American Matt Lojeski (198-85, college: Hawaii, agency: Pensack Sports) who scored 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. American center Devin Williams (206-94, college: WVU) chipped in 8 points and 12 rebounds. American power forward Johnny OBryant-III (205-93, college: LSU) produced 18 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import forward Sam Dekker (206-94, college: Wisconsin) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Tofas (3-2) moved-up to second place in Group B, which they share with Venezia. Loser Lokomotiv dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Tofas will meet Limoges CSP Elite (#5) on the road in the next round. Lokomotiv will play against Rytas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
