Regular Season Round 5: Limoges - Partizan NIS 60-82

There was no surprise when 5th ranked French Limoges CSP Elite (1-4) was outplayed at home by leader Serbian Partizan NIS (5-0) 82-60 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 22 points. Partizan NIS dominated on the defensive end, holding Limoges CSP Elite to just 7 points in second quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Limoges CSP Elite's 20. They outrebounded Limoges CSP Elite 37-22 including a 27-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Bosnian point guard Nemanja Gordic (193-88, agency: BeoBasket) stepped up and scored 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and American forward Rashawn Thomas (203-94, college: Texas A&M-CC, agency: Wasserman) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. Four Partizan NIS players scored in double figures. American guard Semaj Christon (190-92, college: Xavier) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 assists and Hugo Invernizzi (198-93) scored 13 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Partizan NIS have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place in Group B with 5-0 record. Limoges CSP Elite lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with four games lost. Partizan NIS will face league's second-placed Umana Venezia at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Limoges CSP Elite will play against Tofas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
