Regular Season Round 3: A3 Basket - CCC Polkowice 66-91

An interesting game was played in Umea where Polish CCC Polkowice (#4) crushed host Swedish A3 Basket (#3) with 25-point difference 91-66 on Thursday evening. The game without a history. CCC Polkowice led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. CCC Polkowice forced 22 A3 Basket turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by A3 Basket's players. It was a great evening for Greek forward Artemis Spanou (187-93, college: RMU) who led her team to a victory scoring 25 points and 5 assists. Spanish forward Maria Conde (187-97, college: FSU) helped adding 25 points and 7 rebounds. Four CCC Polkowice players scored in double figures. Coach 's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was American point guard Tiffany Brown (165-86, college: Georgia South) with 24 points and 4 assists and Finnish center Sofia Pelander (192-92) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. CCC Polkowice will meet Kayseri on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. A3 Basket will play against Ormanspor in Ankara and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
