Regular Season Round 4: Sf.Gheorghe - Artego Bydg. 50-76

The game between closely ranked teams ended with their biggest opponent Romanian Sf.Gheorghe's (2-2) home loss to top-ranked Polish Artego Bydg. (4-0) in Sfantu Gheorghe 50-76 on Thursday. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Sf.Gheorghe to just 2 points in third quarter. It was a very good performance for Lithuanian power forward Laura Miskiniene (190-92) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Elzbieta Miedzik (180-83) contributed with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Five Artego Bydg. players scored in double figures. American forward Shae Kelley (185-91, college: Minnesota, agency: Two Points) replied with 15 points and 9 rebounds and American-North Macedonian Chrissy Givens (180-85, college: MTSU) added 12 points in the effort for Sf.Gheorghe. Artego Bydg. have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group E with 4-0 record. Defending Romanian champion Sf.Gheorghe keeps the second place with two games lost. Artego Bydg. will face Lulea Basket (#4) at home in the next round. Sf.Gheorghe will play against Galatasaray in Istanbul and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
