Regular Season Round 4: OGM Orman - A3 Basket 99-59

Not a big story in a game when 4th ranked Swedish A3 Basket (0-4) was outscored by top-ranked Turkish Ormanspor (4-0) in Ankara 99-59 on Thursday. The game without a history. Ormanspor led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Ormanspor outrebounded A3 Basket 53-38 including 39 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. American players dominated the game. It was a very good performance for guard Arike Ogunbowale (173-97, college: Notre Dame) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Center Courtney Paris (191-87, college: Oklahoma) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. Four Ormanspor players scored in double figures. Point guard Tiffany Brown (165-86, college: Georgia South) replied with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and Lajahna Drummer (185-96, college: UCLA) added 16 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for A3 Basket. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ormanspor have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group C with 4-0 record. Defending Swedish champion A3 Basket still closes the standings with four games lost. Ormanspor will face league's second-placed CCC Polkowice on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. A3 Basket will play against Kayseri and hopes to get finally their first victory.
