Regular Season Round 4: Kayseri - CCC Polkowice 54-69

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when third ranked Polish CCC Polkowice (2-2) defeated on the road their biggest opponent Turkish Kayseri (2-2) 69-54 on Thursday. Kayseri was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. CCC Polkowice made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Kayseri turnovers. It was a very good performance for Romanian-French center Ana-Maria Filip (195-89, agency: Two Points) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 9 rebounds. American guard Danielle Robinson (178-89, college: Oklahoma) contributed with 11 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four CCC Polkowice players scored in double figures. American guard Kennedy Burke (185-97, college: UCLA) replied with 17 points and 8 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws) and her fellow American import swingman Shacobia Barbee (179-94, college: Georgia) added 12 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Kayseri. Defending Polish champion moved-up to second place in Group C, which they share with defeated Kayseri. CCC Polkowice will face league's leader Ormanspor in Ankara in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Kayseri will play on the road against A3 Basket in Umea and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
