Regular Season Round 4: Hema SKW - Atomeromu 67-48

First defeat of Hungarian Atomeromu (3-1) against second ranked Belgian Sint Kateline Waver (3-1) 67-48 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Atomeromu. It was a key game for the top position in Group I. The game without a history. Sint Kateline Waver led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Atomeromu to just 4 points in second quarter. Sint Kateline Waver forced 24 Atomeromu turnovers. Strangely Atomeromu outrebounded Sint Kateline Waver 40-22 including a 19-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Eline-Maesschalk Cornand who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Lut De-Meyer (176-92) contributed with 17 points for the winners. American forward Erica McCall (190-95, college: Stanford) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds and Croatian Ivana Dojkic (180-97, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 9 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Atomeromu. Sint Kateline Waver have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of Group I leader, which they share with defeated Atomeromu. Atomeromu will play next round against strong Herner TC trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Sint Kateline Waver will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Gruner Stern Keltern on the road.
