Regular Season Round 4: Prishtina - MBA 42-101

Rather expected game when 4th ranked Kosovan Prishtina (0-4) was smashed at home by top-ranked Russian MBA (4-0) 101-42 on Thursday. The game without a history. MBA led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Prishtina's 26. MBA forced 22 Prishtina turnovers and outrebounded them 52-31 including a 21-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Prishtina's players. It was a very good performance for Anna Leshovceva (181-87) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Center Anastasia Logunova (192-90, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five MBA players scored in double figures. Forward Irma Konjusha (171-93) replied with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and American forward Nyilah Jamison-Myers (193, college: Charlotte) added 12 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Prishtina. MBA have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group B with 4-0 record. Defending Kosovan champion Prishtina still closes the standings with four games lost. MBA will face Besiktas (#3) in Istanbul in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Prishtina will play on the road against the league's second-placed Spartak Vidnoye and hopes to get finally their first victory.
