Date: November 13, 2019
We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when third ranked German EWE Baskets (4-3) defeated their biggest opponent Turkish Galatasaray (4-3) in Oldenburg 79-72 on Wednesday. The hosts trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 53-40 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. EWE Baskets forced 22 Galatasaray turnovers. Strangely Galatasaray outrebounded EWE Baskets 37-22 including 27 on the defensive glass. Quite impressive performance for American point guard Tyler Larson (190-91, college: S.Dakota) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 4 assists. His fellow American import guard Braydon Hobbs (196-89, college: Bellarmine) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Forward Yigit Arslan (198-96) answered with 20 points and American Aaron Harrison (198-94, college: Kentucky) added 15 points and 4 assists in the effort for Galatasaray. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for EWE Baskets.
