Regular Season Round 5: Sparta&K MR - Prishtina 115-42

Rather expected game when 4th placed Kosovan Prishtina (0-5) was crushed on the road by second ranked Russian Spartak Vidnoye (3-2) 115-42 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Spartak Vidnoye led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Prishtina's 26 and made 21-of-22 free shots (95.5 percent) during the game, while Prishtina only scored four points from the stripe. Spartak Vidnoye forced 35 Prishtina turnovers and outrebounded them 43-31 including 29 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Prishtina's players. Forward Daria Kurilchuk (179-98, agency: LBM Management) stepped up and scored 30 points and 4 steals for the winners and point guard Kseniia Levchenko (167-96) chipped in 14 points and 6 assists. Five Spartak Vidnoye players scored in double figures. Spartak Vidnoye's coach felt very confident using 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Nyilah Jamison-Myers (193, college: Charlotte) responded with 13 points and 9 rebounds and Albanian forward Enxhi Xhanaj (180-94) scored 9 points and 8 rebounds. Spartak Vidnoye maintains second place in Group B with 3-2 record having just five point less than leader Spartak N. Defending Kosovan champion Prishtina still closes the standings with five games lost. Spartak Vidnoye will face league's leader MBA in Moscow in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Prishtina will play on the road against Besiktas in Istanbul and hopes to get finally their first victory.
