Regular Season Round 10: Galatasaray - Asseco Arka 92-73

There was no surprise when 6th ranked Polish Asseco Arka (3-7) was outleveled by second ranked Turkish Galatasaray (6-4) in Istanbul 92-73 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Galatasaray. Asseco Arka was better in third quarter 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Quite impressive performance for American forward Alex Poythress (203-93, college: Kentucky) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 7 rebounds. New Zealand guard Tai Webster (193-95, college: Nebraska) contributed with 7 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. American forward Armani Moore (193-94, college: Tennessee) replied with 15 points and his fellow American import guard Ben Emelogu (196-94, college: SMU) added 9 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Asseco Arka. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Galatasaray maintains second position in Group D with 6-4 record having just two points less than leader Virtus BO, which they share with EWE Baskets. Asseco Arka lost sixth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with seven games lost.
