And what about another game where Italian Virtus BO beat Lithuanian Lietkabelis by 15 points 76-61 on the road. It looked good early as Lietkabelis took a 5-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Virtus BO had a 17-11 second period charge getting the lead and Lietkabelis were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 61-76. Virtus BO dominated on the defensive end, holding Lietkabelis to just 3 points in third quarter. They outrebounded Lietkabelis 31-20 including a 23-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. Virtus BO players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Lietkabelis' players. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Awudu Abass (198-93, agency: Players Group) who helped to win the game recording 19 points. Forward Giampaolo Ricci (201-91) contributed with 12 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Virtus BO players scored in double figures. Puerto Rican-American guard Kyle Vinales (185-92, college: CCSU, agency: Network Sports International) answered with 20 points and Croatian center Marin Maric (211-94, college: DePaul, agency: BeoBasket) added 8 points in the effort for Lietkabelis. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Virtus BO's next round opponent will be Lokomotiv in Krasnodar and it will be for sure the game of the week. Lietkabelis will play on the road against Monaco and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
