Regular Season Round 4: Levallois - Mornar Bar 78-65

Round 4 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Montenegrin Mornar Bar (2-2). They were defeated by fourth ranked French Levallois (2-2) 78-65 on Tuesday night. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Levallois's pressure prevailed and they won that period 19-11 extending their advantage to 13 points. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Mornar Bar's 32. Levallois forced 20 Mornar Bar turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Zimbabwean power forward Vitalis Chikoko (208-91) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 8 rebounds and American swingman Anthony Brown (199-92, college: Stanford) who added 11 points and 6 assists during the contest. Levallois' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Georgian-American guard Jacob Pullen (183-89, college: Kansas St.) responded with 22 points and American forward Kenny Gabriel (205-89, college: Auburn) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Levallois moved-up to third place in Group B. Mornar Bar will play next round against strong Buducnost trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Levallois will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Brescia on the road.
