Regular Season Round 6: Cedevita Ol. - Nanterre 75-63

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Slovenian Cedevita Olimpija's (2-2) home victory over 5th ranked French JSF Nanterre (1-4) in Ljubljana 75-63 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Cedevita Olimpija. JSF Nanterre was better in third quarter 23-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Cedevita Olimpija dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to JSF Nanterre's 26. They outrebounded JSF Nanterre 48-34 including 16 on the offensive glass. It was a good game for American swingman Rion Brown (198-91, college: Miami, FL) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. The other American import point guard Kendrick Perry (183-92, college: YSU) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. Four Cedevita Olimpija players scored in double figures. Cedevita Olimpija's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Ivan Fevrier (204-99) replied with 23 points and American point guard Chris Warren (177-88, college: Ole Miss) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for JSF Nanterre. Cedevita Olimpija moved-up to third place in Group D. JSF Nanterre lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with four games lost. Cedevita Olimpija will face bottom-ranked Bursaspor (#6) on the road in the next round. JSF Nanterre will play against the league's second-placed Gran Canaria and hope to win that game.
