Regular Season Round 8: Trento - Nanterre 102-104

A very interesting game took place in Trento. It ended with only two-point home defeat of top-ranked Italian Trento (6-2) to fifth ranked French JSF Nanterre (3-4) 104-102 on Wednesday evening. JSF Nanterre made 23-of-30 charity shots (76.7 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Trento turnovers. 27 personal fouls committed by Trento helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by Isaia Cordinier (196-96) who scored that evening 24 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Alpha Kaba (208-96) supported him with 21 points and 12 rebounds. JSF Nanterre's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even a double-double of 30 points, 8 rebounds, 10 assists and 5 steals (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) by American-Puerto Rican guard Gary Browne (185-93, college: WVU) did not help to save the game for Trento. American guard Jeremy Morgan (196-95, college: N.Iowa) added 26 points and 4 assists for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. JSF Nanterre moved-up to fourth place. Trento at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. JSF Nanterre's next round opponent will be Promitheas (#5) in Patras. Trento will play on the road against Cedevita Olimpija (#3) in Ljubljana and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
