Important game to mention about took place in Beograd. Fourth ranked Serbian Partizan NiS (4-3) saved a 3-point victory at home edging top-ranked Spanish Joventut (5-2) 78-75 on Thursday evening. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 78-75. Partizan NiS made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Bosnian guard Nemanja Gordic (193-88, agency: BeoBasket) who scored 16 points and 4 assists. American guard Codi Miller-McIntyre (191-94, college: Wake Forest) chipped in 13 points. Four Partizan NiS players scored in double figures. Partizan NiS's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Israeli forward Shawn Dawson (197-93) produced 19 points and guard Ferran Bassas (181-92) added 7 points and 11 assists respectively for the guests. Partizan NiS moved-up to third place, which they share with Buducnost and Cedevita Olimpija. Loser Joventut still keeps top position with two games lost. Partizan NiS will face Acibadem (#6) in Istanbul in the next round. Joventut will play on the road against Umana Venezia (#5) and hope to win that game.
