Regular Season Round 9: Buducnost - Levallois 71-73

Round 9 most important game was a victory of French Levallois over second-best Montenegrin Buducnost 73-71 on Friday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Buducnost. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 29-17. But Buducnost won second period 21-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for American swingman Anthony Brown (199-92, college: Stanford) who led his team to a victory with 13 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Bastien Pinault (195-93) contributed with 15 points for the winners. American power forward Willie Reed (211-90, college: St.Louis) answered with 15 points and 9 rebounds and guard Nikola Ivanovic (190-94, agency: BeoBasket) added 15 points in the effort for Buducnost. Four Buducnost players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Levallois (6-3) moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Buducnost at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. Levallois is looking forward to face Brescia (#6) at home in the next round. Buducnost will play against Mornar Bar and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
