Regular Season Round 10: Bourg - Partizan NiS 73-71

A very close game took place in Bourg between French JL Bourg and Serbian Partizan NiS. Third ranked JL Bourg (6-3) got a very close home victory over one of their biggest challengers Partizan NiS (5-4). JL Bourg managed to escape with a 2-point win 73-71 in the game for the second place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Partizan NiS. The hosts trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 17-12 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely Partizan NiS outrebounded JL Bourg 36-24 including 24 on the defensive glass. Serbian guard Danilo Andjusic (194-91) fired 16 points (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners. Slovenian center Alen Omic (216-92, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds. Four JL Bourg players scored in double figures. American forward Rashawn Thomas (203-94, college: TAMUCC, agency: Wasserman) produced 15 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Codi Miller-McIntyre (191-94, college: Wake Forest) added 11 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Partizan NiS's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. JL Bourg moved-up to second place. Loser Partizan NiS dropped to the third position with four games lost. They share it with Monaco. JL Bourg will meet league's leader Joventut in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Partizan NiS will play against Umana Venezia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
