Regular Season Round 11: Virtus BO - Andorra 92-81

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Bologna. Leader Italian Virtus BO faced 4th placed Spanish Andorra. Host Virtus BO (10-0) defeated guests from Andorra (2-7) 92-81. The game was mostly controlled by Virtus BO. Andorra was better in second period 28-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Virtus BO looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Josh Adams (188-93, college: Wyoming) who scored 33 points (!!!). Center Amedeo Tessitori (207-94) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Czech forward David Jelinek (195-90, agency: Octagon Europe) produced 21 points and American center Babatunde Olumuyiwa (204-92, college: USC Upstate) added 9 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Virtus BO have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. Defending Italian champion maintains first place with 10-0 record. Andorra lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with seven games lost.
