We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 4th placed French JSF Nanterre (4-6) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Turkish Bursaspor (3-7) 102-92 on Wednesday. JSF Nanterre was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. They outrebounded JSF Nanterre 32-20 including 25 on the defensive glass. Bursaspor shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 51.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Xavier Munford (193-92, college: URI) who scored 24 points and 5 rebounds. Center Oguz Savas (213-87) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Eritrean-Canadian guard Johnny Berhanemeskel (188-92, college: Ottawa) produced 20 points and 7 assists and American Tyler Stone (203-91, college: SEMO) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Bursaspor and five JSF Nanterre players scored in double figures. Bursaspor have a solid series of three victories in a row. Newly promoted Bursaspor maintains fifth place with 3-7 record. Loser JSF Nanterre keeps the fourth position with six games lost.
