Regular Season Round 2: Partizan NiS - Turk Telekom 85-59

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Turkish Turk Telekom in Beograd on Wednesday night. Visitors were rolled over by Serbian Partizan NiS 85-59. The game was mostly controlled by Partizan NiS. Turk Telekom managed to win second period 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Turk Telekom to just 7 points in third quarter. Partizan NiS made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American-Serbian Kevin Punter (192-93, college: Tennessee) who scored 19 points. Guard Aleksa Avramovic (192-94, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 10 points and 4 assists. Four Partizan NiS players scored in double figures. American JaJuan Johnson (208-89, college: Purdue) produced 14 points and Berk Demir (204-95) added 8 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Partizan NiS will meet at home Joventut in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Turk Telekom will play against WKS Slask and hope to win that game.
