Metropolitans used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Wroclaw 86-83 on Wednesday night. WKS Slask was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 19-14 charge of Metropolitans, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was American point guard Will Cummings (188-92, college: Temple) who scored 17 points and 4 assists. Israeli Tomer Ginat (202-94, agency: Avi Zilberman) chipped in 9 points and 9 rebounds. Four Metropolitans players scored in double figures. Metropolitans' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Turkish Kerem Kanter (207-95, college: Xavier) produced 18 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Kodi Justice (199-95, college: Arizona St.) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Metropolitans will meet Lokomotiv in the next round and it may be the game of the week. WKS Slask will play against Turk Telekom in Ankara and hope to win that game.
