Regular Season Round 3: Partizan NiS - Joventut 68-67

The biggest surprise of round 3 in Eurocup took place in Beograd where host Serbian Partizan NiS (3-0) edged Spanish Joventut (2-1) 68-67 on Tuesday evening. The hosts trailed by 10 points after three quarters before their 19-8 charge, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was American-Serbian Kevin Punter (192-93, college: Tennessee) who scored 18 points. American power forward Zach LeDay (202-94, college: Virginia Tech) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Croatian center Ante Tomic (217-87) who recorded 10 points and 8 rebounds and guard Pau Ribas (194-87) added 8 points and 9 assists respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Joventut will play next round against strong Turk Telekom trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Partizan NiS will try to continue on its current victory against Andorra on the road.
