Regular Season Round 3: Bourg - Promitheas 92-62

JL Bourg used a home court advantage and outleveled the opponent from Patras 92-62 on Tuesday night. The game without a history. JL Bourg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for American center Eric Mika (209-95, college: BYU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds. Point guard Hugo Benitez (189-1) helped adding 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Five JL Bourg players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Kendrick Ray (188-94, college: KSU) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import forward Isaiah Miles (203-94, college: St.Joseph's) scored 11 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. JL Bourg will meet Gran Canaria (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Promitheas will play against Bursaspor (#5) and hope to get finally their first victory.
