Very expected game when 8th ranked German Hamburg Towers (4-7) were defeated at home by first ranked Spanish Joventut (9-2) 92-75 on Wednesday. Joventut outrebounded Hamburg Towers 41-28 including 27 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Joel Parra (202-0) who scored 18 points and 4 assists. Croatian center Ante Tomic (217-87, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 9 points and 8 rebounds. American swingman Caleb Homesley (198-96, college: Liberty) produced 22 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and Estonian center Maik-Kalev Kotsar (211-96, college: S.Carolina) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Four Hamburg Towers players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Joventut have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place in Group A with 9-2 record. Loser Hamburg Towers keep the eighth position with seven games lost.
