An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Badalona. First ranked Spanish Joventut faced second-best Serbian Partizan NiS. Host Joventut (10-2) defeated guests from Beograd (8-4) 92-84. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 28-17 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American Derek Willis (206-95, college: Kentucky) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 8 rebounds and Swedish center Simon Birgander (209-97) who added 12 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Four Joventut players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was French center Mathias Lessort (206-95, agency: Octagon Europe) with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and American-Serbian Kevin Punter (192-93, college: Tennessee) scored 19 points. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Joventut have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group A with 10-2 record. Loser Partizan NiS keeps the second place with four games lost. They share the position with Lokomotiv. Joventut will meet Turk Telekom (#6) in the next round where they are favorite. Partizan NiS will play against Andorra (#5) and hope to secure a win.
