Eurocup top team - Spanish Joventut (11-2) managed to deliver another win on Wednesday. This time they beat sixth ranked Turkish Turk Telekom (6-7) in Ankara 78-69. Joventut looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Croatian center Ante Tomic (217-87, agency: Octagon Europe) nailed 19 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winning side and American Derek Willis (206-95, college: Kentucky) accounted for 8 points and 9 rebounds. American center Octavius Ellis (208-93, college: Cincinnati, agency: Network Sports International) came up with 13 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import guard Jared Terrell (191-95, college: URI) added 17 points respectively for Turk Telekom in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Joventut have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place in Group A with 11-2 record. Turk Telekom at the other side dropped to the seventh position with seven games lost. Joventut will meet Andorra (#5) on the road in the next round. Turk Telekom will play against Lokomotiv in Krasnodar and hope to secure a win.
