Regular Season Round 15: Buducnost - Promitheas 90-77

Not a big story in a game in Podgorica where 10th ranked Greek Promitheas (4-11) were defeated by third ranked Montenegrin Buducnost (9-6) 90-77 on Wednesday. Buducnost outrebounded Promitheas 37-23 including 25 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for Serbian Vladimir Micov (202-1985, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory scoring 12 points and 5 rebounds. Point guard Petar Popovic (195-1996, agency: BeoBasket) helped adding 15 points. Four Buducnost players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American power forward Jerai Grant (203-1989, college: Clemson) with 23 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import guard Kendrick Ray (188-1994, college: KSU) scored 8 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending Montenegrin champion maintains third place in Group B with 9-6 record having just three points less than leader Joventut. Loser Promitheas keep the tenth position with 11 games lost. Buducnost will meet league's leader Gran Canaria in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Promitheas will play against Virtus BO (#5) and hope to secure a win.
