Regular Season Round 15: Hamburg - Slask 92-86

The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked German Hamburg Towers' (6-8) home victory over bottom-ranked Polish WKS Slask (3-11) 92-86 on Wednesday. They outrebounded WKS Slask 41-30 including a 20-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Lukas Meisner (203-1995, college: Columbia) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds. Point guard Justus Hollatz (191-2001, agency: BeoBasket) helped adding 14 points and 6 assists. Four Hamburg Towers players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American point guard Travis Trice II (183-1993, college: Michigan St.) with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 assists and power forward Aleksander Dziewa (205-1997) scored 21 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Hamburg Towers moved-up to seventh place in Group A. Loser WKS Slask stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. Hamburg Towers will meet higher ranked Lokomotiv (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. WKS Slask will play against the league's second-placed Partizan NiS (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
