Regular Season Round 16: Slask - Partizan NiS 71-93
Date: March 22, 2022
Very expected game when 9th ranked Polish WKS Slask (3-12) was smashed by second ranked Serbian Partizan NiS (11-5) in Wroclaw 93-71 on Tuesday. Partizan NiS dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to WKS Slask's 34. The winners were led by Israeli point guard Yam Madar (190-2000, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored that evening 15 points and American power forward Zach LeDay (202-1994, college: Virginia Tech) supported him with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Five Partizan NiS players scored in double figures. Even 13 points and 9 assists by American point guard Travis Trice II (183-1993, college: Michigan St.) did not help to save the game for WKS Slask. Turkish Kerem Kanter (207-1995, college: Xavier) added 12 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Partizan NiS maintains second position with 11-5 record behind leader Gran Canaria, which they share with Valencia. Loser WKS Slask keeps the ninth place with 12 games lost. Partizan NiS will meet at home Lokomotiv (#5) in the next round. WKS Slask will play against the league's leader Joventut (#1) in Badalona and hope to secure a win.
