Regular Season Round 17: Buducnost - Bourg 73-75

There was a surprise result in Podgorica where ninth ranked French JL Bourg (6-11) edged 4th placed Montenegrin Buducnost (9-8) 75-73 on Wednesday. The best player for the winners was American center JaCorey Williams (203-1994, college: MTSU) who scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. His fellow American import swingman Jalen Jones (201-1993, college: Texas A&M) chipped in 19 points. American guard Justin Cobbs (191-1991, college: California, agency: BeoBasket) produced 14 points and 7 assists and Bosnian swingman Edin Atic (201-1997, agency: BeoBasket) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Buducnost's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. JL Bourg maintains ninth place in Group B with 6-11 record. Defending Montenegrin champion Buducnost dropped to the fifth position with eight games lost. JL Bourg will meet at home higher ranked Virtus BO (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Buducnost will play against Bursaspor and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
