Spanish Gran Canaria defeated Polish WKS Slask in Las Palmas 92-81. Worth to mention a great performance of Polish-American AJ Slaughter (191-1987, college: WKU) who helped to win the game recording 23 points. Guard Ferran Bassas (181-1992) contributed with 17 points and 6 assists for the winners. Four Gran Canaria players scored in double figures. Gran Canaria's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Lukasz Kolenda (195-1999) answered with 23 points and forward Jakub Niziol (201-1996, college: Cal Poly) added 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for WKS Slask.
