There was a minor upset when German Hamburg Towers were defeated at home by Turkish Turk Telekom 88-83 on Tuesday. Turk Telekom forced 20 Hamburg Towers turnovers. The best player for the winners was point guard Tony Taylor (184-1990, college: GWU) who scored 25 points and 5 assists. American power forward Tyrique Jones (206-1997, college: Xavier, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Four Turk Telekom players scored in double figures. American Marvin Clark (201-1994, college: St.John's, agency: Slash Sports) produced 23 points and his fellow American import point guard Kendale McCullum (184-1996, college: Lewis) added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for the hosts. Hamburg Towers' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Turk Telekom will meet at home Hapoel Tel-Aviv in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hamburg Towers will play against WKS Slask and hope to win that game.
