But Grengewald was not able to use a home court advantage and was smashed by the opponent from Braine 76-52 on Wednesday night. Castors Braine dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Grengewald's 24. Castors Braine forced 20 Grengewald turnovers and outrebounded them 37-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Hungarian guard Reka Lelik (181-1999) notched 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and American Jessica Lindstrom (185-1996, college: Green Bay, agency: LBM Management) supported her with 13 points and 9 rebounds. Four Castors Braine players scored in double figures. Even 18 points and 7 rebounds by American forward Dejza James (185-1995, college: Arizona) did not help to save the game for Grengewald. Her fellow American import guard Samantha Logic (175-1992, college: Iowa) added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the hosts. Grengewald's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Castors Braine will meet at home Cadi La Seu in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Grengewald will play against Zaragoza and hope to win that game.
