Regular Season Round 3: Flammes - KP Brno 120-46

Rather predictable result in Charleville where French Flammes (3-0) smashed Czech KP Brno (1-2) 120-46 on Wednesday. Flammes dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to KP Brno's 28. Flammes forced 21 KP Brno turnovers and outrebounded them 47-25 including a 34-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 42 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by KP Brno's players. The best player for the winners was Serbian center Nikolina Milic (191-1994) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Forward Emmanuelle Tahane (185-1999, college: URI) chipped in 11 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. Four Flammes players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Slovakian center Sona Svetlikova (184-1999) who recorded 15 points and 5 rebounds and guard Karolina Fadrhonsova (172-1997) added 9 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Flammes will meet Angers on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. KP Brno will play against Ragusa in Dubrovnik and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
