Regular Season Round 3: Ragusa - Angers 55-92

Rather expected game in Dubrovnik where Croatian Ragusa (0-3) was crushed by French Angers (2-1) 92-55 on Wednesday. Angers forced 26 Ragusa turnovers and outrebounded them 46-30 including a 24-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was center Jodie Cornelie-Sigmundova (193-1993, college: Dayton) who scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Axelle Merceron chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. Angers' coach felt very confident using 10 players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Iva Todoric (174-1993) who recorded 11 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals and swingman Romana Stojanovic (186-1993) added 19 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Angers will meet at home Flammes in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ragusa will play against KP Brno and hopes to get finally their first victory.
