There was no surprise in Montpellier where 4th ranked Czech Zabiny Brno (0-3) was defeated by top-ranked French BLMA (4-0) 84-72 on Wednesday. BLMA made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. BLMA had a 29-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Mamignan Toure (183-1994) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 4 assists and Belgian center Kyara Linskens (193-1996, agency: LBM Management) who added 15 points and 6 rebounds during the contest (made all of her eight free throws). BLMA's coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American center Elissa Cunane (196-2000, college: NC State) responded with 21 points and 8 rebounds and her fellow American import guard Bria Holmes (185-1994, college: WVU) scored 14 points and 5 steals. BLMA have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record, which they share with 7 other teams. Loser Zabiny Brno still closes the standings with three games lost. BLMA will meet league's second-placed Lyon on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Zabiny Brno will play against IDK Eustotren and hopes to get finally their first victory.
