Regular Season Round 7: Bourg - Prometey 92-85

No shocking result in a game when first ranked French JL Bourg (6-1) beat at home 5th ranked Ukrainian Prometey (3-4) 92-85 on Tuesday. It was an exceptional evening for American swingman James Palmer Jr (196-1996, college: Nebraska) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 9 rebounds. American-Haitian Frantz Massenat (193-1992, college: Drexel) accounted for 17 points for the winning side. Point guard Issuf Sanon (194-1999) came up with 18 points and 5 rebounds and American forward DJ Kennedy (198-1989, college: St.John's) added 12 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Prometey in the defeat. Four JL Bourg and five Prometey players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. JL Bourg maintains first place with 6-1 record. Loser Prometey dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. JL Bourg will meet ratiopharm Ulm (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Prometey will play against Cluj Napoca and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
