There was no surprise in Podgorica where 4th placed Montenegrin Buducnost (5-4) was defeated by second ranked Turkish Turk Telekom (7-2) 84-71 on Wednesday. French forward Axel Bouteille (201-1995, agency: BeoBasket) stepped up and scored 26 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and American forward Nathan Sestina (206-1997, college: Kentucky) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American Cameron Reynolds (201-1995, college: Tulane) with 17 points and Canadian guard Trae Bell-Haynes (188-1995, college: Vermont, agency: BeoBasket) scored 14 points and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Turk Telekom used an opportunity after Gran Canaria lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Defending Montenegrin champion Buducnost dropped to the third place with four games lost. They share the position with 6 other teams. Turk Telekom will meet Paris (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Buducnost will play against Hamburg Towers and hope to secure a win.
