Regular Season Round 15: Bursaspor - Bourg 92-82

There was a surprise result when eighth ranked Turkish Bursaspor (7-8) defeated at home 4th placed French JL Bourg (8-7) 92-82 on Thursday. Bursaspor made 19-of-19 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. It was a great evening for Greek-American center Zach Auguste (208-1993, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Swingman Onuralp Bitim (196-1999) helped adding 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was American swingman James Palmer Jr (196-1996, college: Nebraska) with 13 points and 4 assists and point guard Hugo Benitez (189-2001) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Bursaspor moved-up to seventh place, which they share with London L. and Brescia. JL Bourg lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the third position with seven games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Bursaspor will meet at home higher ranked Venezia (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. JL Bourg will play against the league's leader Prometey where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
